You had problems breeding white mice? Man, when I used to breed them, I couldn't get them to stop, every other day they'd be poppin out left and right, it was nuts. I never tried with the colored ones though. Have you tried multiple times or just with a certain "set"? I never paid attention to their temps or anything, just clean bedding, water, and food. At this place I used to work, that was all they bred was white mice, but theirs were "special" they had ones with special hormones in them. I just bred regular ones, and had no problem.

Yea, the ones I had were lab mice. There are albino white pet mice as well. The guy that breeds local only has the lab mice. He has a building he keeps them in with a constant temp of 70. Then when you buy some to breed and the temps are not the same as his, they stop breeding.

Oh yeah? Odd, I never really thought about that. Well, at least you found some that you had better luck breeding.

I've never paid attention to temps either - they just stay room temp 72-77 daily...

I agree, they are all food. These just breed better for me.

So tomorrow they will be 3 weeks old - Some are eating food on their own, some are eating and still nursing, and all are hopping around - I was wanting to take them out and into another tank - It's hard to tell who's who as they are all identical - Would it be safe to assume that the ones eating food on their own can be removed from the mother at this age, or should I give them more time ?

I would give them one more week. If they are still nursing . They will also be able to breed at about five weeks.
