I work for a major firewall company in the bay area of California as a business development engineer. That definitely helps me keep in the funds to procure the herps I desire. I currently have 1 leopard gecko, 1 african fat-tail gecko and 1 blue tongued skink. I actually just found out about tegus and have become completely enamored with them. At some point, I will purchase an argentine from agama, but will have to wait until I have more room in the house to build an enclosure that will house a full-grown tegu. My wife is anti-tegu, but I am certain she will come around when she sees just how cool they are.

Thanks. I think it is more about convincing her that it will be ok to get one sooner than later. She knows that once my mind is set on something, there is no stopping me, only delays. As for being 17, I totally hear you. Although, when I was that age, I went off to Costa Rica for the summer to work. Good experience. I think I remember reading on here that you or someone else was possibly going to Australia? It is a good thing to do. Get out, get wordly, meet people, have experiences no one else in your age group will have.

I'm a RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician). I've been working with animals for ever and love it. I just started working for a vet who is one of the herp specialists in my area so I get to see a lot of intersting animals. Besides that if one of my guys get sick I don't have to pay for treatment. Yipee!!!

Well it's next to impossible to become a vet so I'm currently in school to become a fireman paramedic. I'm not sure what but I'll probably pick up a 2nd job or start my own company.

Hey by chance do you know how much a fireman paramedic makes? Like starting and then how much they top off at? I am interested in becoming one, but I wanted some details first...

I am a courier at FedEx and love it. The huge discounts that we get on shipping will definitely come in handy if i ever start breeding anything. I live in Mississippi, and the demand for reptiles isn't as high as other states. My wife and I were hoping to someday open a reptiles only store just for fun, but would probably have to rely solely on online purchases. MS is definitely a furry pet state.
