Default 150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank enclosure

Below are some pictures of an enclosure I built. This is defiantly a little small for a B&W but might be ok for a Blue. I started acquiring all the materials when my B&W was still in a 40 breeder however before it was finished he had already been given free roan of an entire room. I was planning on building a ramp so that he could access it any time he wanted however the few times I have put him in he spends about 10 minutes exploring the entire thing twice then lets himself out. Eventually I will probably build several out of the 6'x3'x5.2' galvanized stock tanks as both of these can offer at least 1+ foot of substrate. I may put a trio of smaller monitors in this at some point or I may use it as a breeding enclosure at some point. You can find more pictures in my gallery here on theTegu.com

Completely set up with new acrylic lid.

He has seen enough and is letting himself out.

    Acrylic door $26
1/8" Star board shelf was scraps from work.
    3/4" Starboard top $125 I think.
All from Piedmont Plastics, Inc: Pompano Beach, FL http://www.piedmontplastics.com/

Rubbermaid Stock Tank $125 local feed store. Here is a link but you could do a google search and find them in your area. http://www.brusselsagri.com/farm_sup...rubbermaid.htm

Lights and substrate from HerpSupplies.com http://www.herpsupplies.com/index.cfm

If you want the same substrate this is the only way to buy it http://www.herpsupplies.com/product.cfm?id=STR81272

Hinges and handle about $20. Fiber board used as wood replacement for out door decks that I notched and bent around the top came from Lowe's. About $40

6 hour of mine and my buddies time in his workshop.

Getting it finished and then not really using it; Priceless!

Sorry I couldn't resist. It will get used at some point. I think I covered everything. The biggest savings would be to use plywood for the top instead of the starboard. However, that said it will still need to be treated to prevent mold growing on the underside with 50+% humidity.
