    Default caterpillars/butterflys/moths?

    anyone ever feed any to tegus?

    catterpillars tend to be toxic, butterflies and moths have to much dust on there wings, I think it would be be bad for tegus, not sure though. It would be hard to swallow I would imagine.

    well F that.. so im not gonna try after all.. its just i have like hundreds of them out back.

    June bugs are good though. Lightning bugs are bad. Earthworms are ok of course. This sounds mean, but garter snakes are good too. Also any frog, but no toads.

    Tegus are opportunists in the wild and will eat just about anything they can get their jaws around. They are particularly fond of carrion.
