drill holes in the lid of the tub. Make sure the tub is not too big.

100 mix is quite a few, go for it. You'll get adults in the mix, but I'd order 4-8 pairs to get things going. Don't expect results for 4-6 weeks.

word is you go to fast food joints and ask for em for free.

also, apple shipping holders are the same, ask for those at supermarkets.

Hey Loudog There's all kinds of websites, but for myself, I've always ordered from individuals that breed them for their tarantulas and such.
If you go, for example, to the American Tarantula Society and register (free) with their forum, you'll have access to their classified ads.
    www.atshq.org also www.arachnoboards.com
Typically you'll find 100 for around $30.00 Typically what you get is about 5 adult males, about 5 adult females (likely pregnant) and 90 assorted size nymphs (babies) from tiny up to maybe half grown.
If you don't feed any of them(to your Tegu) for a while you will have a self-sufficient population...takes 4-6 months. I started out that way and
added a hundred here and there from different sources to make sure that I had different bloodlines. After about six months, I had thousands LOL ( they're roaches after all) I now have four enclosures:
    1. Breeding Enclosure ( Left alone, not hit on for feeders)
    2. Breeding Enclosure #2 Left alone..no stress on the breeders
    3. Feeder Enclosure
    4. Future Breeders Enclosure. If you maintain a lot of dubia you will find a lot of subadults molting into adults...catch them right in the act of molting. I take these and put them into a separate enclosure, because I know their age, they're young and productive. Before you know it, a dozen or two becomes several hundred.Overhead lighting is best IMO bc burrowing roaches will tend to dig down if they feel too hot, (thus getting closer to the heat source if youre using a heating pad) I use sterilite
hampers from walmart...five buck or so, and a 12 inch aquarium strip light on top of the hamper ( $12.00 or so.) Chicken feed, bran cereal, carrots and apples, cricket gel for moisture. You can get egg crate for free from restaurants. I don't bother...I buy them from www.eggboxes.com
Your Tegu will eat lots of dubia, so...think BIG
