i have an idea, could i keep him in the enclosure he's in now in the day and then keep him in a 10 gallon tank in my room at night?
i might get a 20 gallon soon so that will be better.

I would not. it's kind of hard to regulate the temps the way they should be. you know 90 - 110 baskig end ---- 70 cool end. a 20 would be too small as well. instead of waisting all the money I would just keep looking for for the bigger enclosure.

did you ever look on craigslist ? people on there are always getting rid of stuff like that.
or look for any stores going out of business especially ones with showcases. that works good.

    well i have an update-

i found out he does eat ground turkey.
i had to move him to a 10 gallon for 5 days before we can get a 20 or bigger(pay check).
and i use a light dimmer to set the right temp for the basking, cool side, etc.it's very convenient.

Hi Gottee, how is he doing ? you really should go for the larger enclosure.

have you checked craigslist in your area ? or stores with display cases going out of business. their ideal. or even pet shops going out of business.

do you let him free roam ?

lucky to say i have yet another update.

we had to go shopping for animal supplies, and it was kind of a rush,so i told my dad a few days before that any cage is bigger than a 10 gallon, for now at least.and we'll need a 80 gallon(am i right?) when he gets older.so we got a 30 gallon for him AND some cypress shavings.so i mixed the reptibark, cypress and bedabeast for a max. humidity, well, not maximum humidity but still,a high humidity of 90%.

well i only have ever named one lizard,my leopard gecko (obviously, leo) and i'm bad at naming lizards....so does anyone have any suggestions?

humidity should be around 75? could i add some aspen bedding to make it less humid?

    he's eating very good,but i do have a problem,

we didn't get a screen lid! so next time we go to petsmart we need a screen lid so i can put the heating lamp and uvb flor. tube on it.

for now i am using a lid to a toat and a lid to a 10 gallon tank.

for names, I just look at them and or watch their behavior and the first word that pops in my head is their name.

you have the basking end and cool end; right ?
