    Default Not Good At All...

So like I'm going to the bathroom and doing my homework at the same time earlier today and I let my little tegu walk around the bathroom while I'm sitting in there. He's exploring and I guess he found a little hole next to the sink that leads to an area about 1.5" wide between the sink cabinet and the wall.

He's been stuck there now for like 3 hours and I'm totally freaking out. It happened like 20 minutes before I had to go to work so I had to leave him and I told my brother about it so he's been checking on him.

But he's still stuck. I'm not sure if he's physically stuck or if he just doesn't want to come out but if he's not out by the time I get home from work tonight I'm tearing apart the sink cabinet.

Oh man. This sucks. I hope he's okay.

    Just needed to vent :/

    Hello agallegos37,

I don't think he is stuck. just probably feels really secure in there. Tegus are great at compresing and squirming their bodies in and out of things.

Put a plate of his favorite food right in front of the hole but far enough out so you can grab him. Also, if you can, set up a dome with heat coming from it. He will surely come out to bask underneath the heat.

I was thinking a good plate of warm, smelly meat would bring him out of there.

Why the heck were you doing your homework while going to the bathroom?!?! Oh sorry, another topic of discussion.... 8O

lol I just have a lot of homework to do so why not do it while going to the bathroom? hehe

But, in other news, my dad fished Dante out of the wall a little bit ago so he's back in his cage now yay.

However my dad was wicked pissed at me (bad mood today :/) so I hope he didn't hurt my tegu while getting him out :(

But thanks a lot for the replies and suggestions.

No kidding. I was freakin out like all day and it was even worse because I had to leave him in there for a while to go to work. Thankfully no tegus were hurt in the process

...or check and make absolute sure that there's nothin he can get into.

He's been in his hide ever since then. He's fine and all but I guess he didn't really like yesterday :/

So like poor Dante has been tucked away in his hide ALL day today and yesterday once he was put back in his cage. I asked my brother to keep an eye on his cage and to tell me if he came out, but he hasn't once today.

He's probably pretty scared from the event yesterday, but is there anything I should be concerned about? Or just keep waiting and he'll eventually come out...?
