    Default NEW Columbian Tegu

Hi everyone. I'm just new the world of Tegus. I have recently aquired a
Columbian Tegu. It is at least 20 inches long. I was reading the feeding requirement on the various sites here, and I would like to know if there are any definate no's to feeding fruit. I did read to watch the potasium high fruits like banana and kiwi, but if I could get a good over view of their diet I would be grateful. I want to keep my Tegu healthy and happy. If there is a way to sex them would be great too.

    Default Columbian Tegu

You were not kidding on the amount of information that you recomended trepgirl! I have gone through it all, made a ton of notes and love the enclosure that was in your recomendations. Lots of work ahead of me.
I also have a breeding pair of Bearded Dragons, a corn snake and a Chinese water Dragon. Sadly we lost our last Halodactylus Gecko. We think he choked on a worm. We lost his buddy a few days ago. He just wouldn't eat. We tried everything, but we did not succeed. We looked everywhere we could for info on them, but there doesn't seem to be a lot. :( The tegu seems to have settled in, but I want to get the enclosure done ASAP. Can't thankyou enough for the info. Will definately be back here for everything!
