    The Argentines go through a brumation period but the Colombians do not. I do not wake up my Args but let them cycle naturally on their own. Your mileage may vary.

    My Colombian will stay buried for a couple of days at a time here and there year round, but she's not brumating. I have uncovered her before to check on her, but I generally let her do her own thing. Sometimes I find that she comes out to bask for like an hour and then hides again. She's an interesting critter...

    im just saying that i have never seen this one out and about since i got it back in october. i have dug it up twice to make sure that it is still alive and thats it.

    That's fine....

    The OP was about Colombians and I just wanted to make sure that the thread was defined as a Colombian buried for a couple of days and an Arg buried for seven months. A Colombian buried for seven months would be an issue. :wink:

    My response wasn't directed at you even though I quoted you, it was just to clarify for anyone who may be lurking and reading, that's all.
