Default I went field herping today after school ^-^

It was awesome, It was near this BEAUTIFUL river.
As far as reptiles go I saw 1:
an unidentified (either all black or partially black) lizard that was around 8-10" long (I only saw the hind quarters as it was darting off and that was around 5-6" so I am estimating at the rest of the body length. He darted under some old ruble right as I peeked over the rock and I couldn't find him afterward....

    Amphibian wise:
My girlfriend stumbled upon a nest of (what appeared to be) Mud Salamanders. We caught 1 and took a picture then promptly released the little guy. they were so small I think they might have been hatch lings.
We also found a distilled pool with a TON of frog eggs, we saw one frog but before we could identify it, it jumped into the bushes.

other than that we saw a lot of birds squirrels and even some beautiful monarch butterflies.

It was a really good experience I will have a few pictures up soon hopefully (I kinda dropped the camera into a stagnant pool while rock jumping >_<) but if it works after it dries I'll show you guys some pics of the place (you WILL fall in love).

    peace.
