There are some species that are allowed to be sold to Florida. Either native or adventive species. Adventive meaning non natives that have established in Florida such as Blaberus discoidales, Blaberus craniifer and green banana roaches. Also male hissers only. In fact most of the green banana roaches we sell around the country come from a colony that was obtained In Florida in 1994.

    Blaberus discoidales

    Blaberus craniifer

The green banana roaches dont look like hissers. In fact most dont even realize they are a roach when they see them. They are green like an unripe banana males get about 15mm females about 24mm. They can fly. I have to have pictures transferred to the roach galleries soon. Also the dubia are not allowed to be possessed in Florida the other species I mentioned are. Dubia are not allowed to be shipped to, or possessed in Florida.

Im waiting for someone to post the pictures of the green banana roaches in my gallery. They are soft bodied and have wings and less than an inch as adults. They fly well too. Require a lot of humidity and are bright light green.

Here is a picture I pulled off google. males are a little over half the size of females. Does this look like a hisser?

I believe the confusion stemmed from Enigma, being completely unfamiliar with these green banana roaches (as am I), believed that one of the roaches you pictured WAS a green banana roach, seeing as how it was the last thing you referred to.

However, even if that wasn't the case... the great thing about perception is that it's all relative. No one is right or wrong, as it's a PERCEPTION.

Thank you Nordica you are right. I though one of the roaches pictured was the green banana roach

DR- Sorry man one of the roaches pictured looked like a hisser to me. Of course the roach pictured above does not look like a hisser. I said I have an older computer screen. I did not say I was blind. Thank you for sharing the picture of the roach though it is very pretty. where could I find more info on it?
