    Default Non-Toxic Plant

I would like to put a potted plant on top of the cool end of my Tegu's cage which is located on my screened porch. I want to make sure whatever I use will not be toxic to her. Although it will be out of her reach, I still want it to be safe in case a piece should drop off and fall into the cage. Any suggestions?

Here are some non toxic plants.I still would be careful with the ficus tree because if your Tegu chews on it the sap can be harmful.

Thanks, Sam. Now I can go shopping.

I keep trying to make Domino's new cage more beautiful and more comfortable too. It is on the porch and it is HOT here in Central Florida. We installed a small fan over her cool area and the plant will help with shade. When it gets really hot, she goes under her large water pan after basking in the sunny end.

Your welcome .I'm glad that I could help.I like the dwarf banana trees. If you have cats and dogs and have flea problems the banana trees will atract the fleas and ticks and they will stay on that tree.I just hope that your Tegus don't want to eat that tree.I also love the hybiscus tree. Some people like to feed the flowers to their chameleons.

Hey, my dog has a flea problem. Maybe I should get a dwarf banana tree?
