Nice Gu but I have to say,...you're practically telling your tegu to eat the substrate and inviting an impaction and a possible Vet bill that nobody wants or worse. Its one thing if you choose to feed him inside the enclosure and make sure the substrate is covered and the food is on top of something. Its another to place the food directly on the substrate,.... Why? Then later you'll be wondering why your tegu keeps eating the substrate (if you catch him at all) and he stops eating all together.

I don't get it,...why?
