    My baby Guyana Caiman Lizard (Dracaena guianensis) rolls and crushes an aquatic snail in the mouth

    Lol. Poor baby is trying so hard to eat this snail . I'm surprised he doesn't want to go for the turtles ( scratching on their tank ). Hope that snail isn't to big for him.

    No no, Caiman Lizard eat with this way from the baies to Adults
    It's one of unique charactoristic for them
    They roll and cruch a shell each by each in the mouth and sip the snail inside only
    Very interesting, isn't it?

    that is such a beautiful lizard! how big will he get? did you get him from a breeder? i love his green coloring. and you seem quite facsinated by him (lots of new videos about him that you posted =]). congrats on the baby guyana!

    That is so cool. I didn't know that. I thought they eat the hole thing. Thank you for letting me know . See now I just learned something new .

    This is such a perfect shot showing how he eats! And with the sound, you really get a sense of the power in his little jaws. I have stepped on one of those snails before and it didn't crush under my full weight!
