First I would like to say that I recommend bringing the Tegu to the Vet as soon as you can. Here are some infos on how you can treat a prolapse. I would talk to the vet about this treatment and see if he/she will agree with it. The Tegu in this video is not mine. But when my Argentine b/w Tegu ( Leonidas ) had a prolapse when he was a baby because he was impacted my vet gave me this medicine to put on the vent. The vets also call this medicine liquid gold because it can be used for a lot off different things and it has no experation date ( prolapse, cut .... but NOT orally ). Not every Tegu needs a surgery when he/she has a prolaps.
Meds. info. You also can use this medicine for open wounds ( not orally ). I used it on my Tegu's nose rub and it heald very well. My vet gave it to me.

This is a video on how you can put the meds on a smaller Tegu. This is one of my female Tegu's who was impacted and I wanted to lubricate the vent so it will not tear when whe poops out the object ( it was a plastic cap from a door stopper )
