I would like to post this story in tribute of Ozzy Jr. He was the pet ( Savannah Monitor ) of someone I know on youtube. May Ozzy Jr. R.I.P.

I also wanted to post this story so everyone can read/see what could happen to all of us.

I know Kylie wasn't a Tegu but she was like my baby. She grew up with my son. I had her since she was two months old. She was almost 17. She loved every one and got along with every animal. It broke my heart to have to put her to sleep yesterday. May she R.I.P.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I lost my baby, Snickers (12 years old) on Halloween and still have issues from it. We had been through a lot, loss of my dad (of which he was a retiree companion for until I could move Snickers in with me), a divorce of mine, moving across country and a marriage, scared off a couple ghosts and overall was a great companion.

Its been said many times in this post but it's so true how much of a friend and a companion a pet can be, espcially when they go through so many life events and stages with you and perhaps sometimes feel like one of your only cheerleaders. I'm sorry for your loss!

So sorry, Sam. Losing a dog or cat pet is really tough.

GummiBear. Thank you for your kind words and I'm very sorry of your loss, too. You are so right. She has been through so many things with me and gave me not just happieness but also alot of comfort. May your pets R.I.P, too.

    Thank you Laura.

I am sorry to hear of your loss Sam. I lost two of my best companions Abby, and Jessica over the last couple of years and miss them a lot. The best medicine for me was replacing them. I now have Millee and Sonny, both standard poodles to keep me company and warm at night.

Thank you Dana C. We still have 1 Vizsla dog, 5 Tegus, 1 black throat Monitor, 1 Leopard Gecko and 1 Bearded Dragon. I don't think I need to get another pet to replace Kylie. They keep me busy enough. I think I never could get another animal just to replace the one I lost. It would hurt me even more. Time is the best thing for me for healing ( for except the animals I already have ).
