    Red face Howdy

My name is sarefina. I am a proud new owner of a argentine blck and white. He is a yr old already when i got him. I am his second owner and starting to think the first owner which was a 10 yr old didnt tame him very well. So I know I have alot of work with him, but so ready. Never thought I could fall in love with a face like that...:p I have other reptile that i love 2 ball pythons and 1 red tail boa. plus 2 dogs and 4 kids and married to a wonderful man. So I'm hopeing to make some head way with mylnor.. So if anyone has any taming tips please send my way.. thank you and have a great day.......

Hi Sarefina. Welcome to the Tegu forum family ( even if we chated before already ) and congrats on getting mylnor. It's hard to give you any taming tips without seeing a video of him on how he is acting. I tamed all six of our Tegus down from when they were hatchlings ( two of them still are babies ). He looks very cute and relaxt in that picture . How is he acting ? Can you handel him at all or does he try to bite you ?

I can handle him, but he kids trashes around a bit... lately only time i handle him is when im taking him to the feeding bin to back to cage when he is done. a few ppl here tell me not too handle him too much the first wk. but tomorrow im going to start with the wearing the shirt trick and see if that can help.... Ps...he has only tryed to bite me once and that was just alittle nip cuz i smelled like food.. he has never tryed it before or sence

Tegus will whip their tail if they feel off balance. Try to have him rest his feet on your arm or on your chest. They don't like to have their feet in the air.
