    Default Big boy

Smokey the tegu..He's so big he is becoming more of a zoo exhibit than a house pet...You can tell his size by me petting him. He is much more playful in the seciond video..:p

Hello Tegugurl...He is and always has been a great eater. His diet consists of many items, usually served all together.. an example would be ground turkey, a vegetable medley consisting of peas, green beans, carrots and corn is mixed in with the ground turkey, honey dew melon and a mouse.. All topped with calcium powed or less often, calcium with d3. Sometimes I exclude the mouse. I know that it is not necessary to supplement if they eat live prey. However, Smokey only eats 2 times a week and 1 mouse is absolutely nothing for him.

He also eats cantaloupe and bonless skinless chicken breast.

When I bought him as a baby, he looked different that any other tegu I had seen.. Then he started to get gigantic.. After looking at some pics o nthe net, I noticed that he looked like some pics I saw of baby Black and White Giant tegus.. I am not sure if he is a giant or not..However, his huge size and the fact that he looked just like other babies that were giants, leads me to believe he could be or maybe there is some giant in his blood line.

    Thanks for replying.

LOL. He is huge ( like always ). I love his colors and the pattern on him. Does he have a black V under his chin. That's what the extrem giants have.

i doubt he is an exreme giant, he could be a normal b/w and still be huge, both of my b/w's have/had the V under their throats and they were both normal b/w's. as far as size i have a yearling female nero who is 17-18lbs (she was 17 lbs a month ago)and would have been around 50-51" now had she not dropped nearly a foot of her tail (she is now 40"), and she is 100% normal b/w tegu. however he is a smoking hot boy and is very good looking tegu.
