    Default My Burmese python!

Hi guys, made a long time heh?
So here is my new girl I bought 2 month ago. She is very pretty for a regular burmese python. She is around 7 1/2 month old. She is a bit hissy when I'm going to pick her, but stop once outside of the enclosure. She is pretty tame, but tried to bite me a couple of time. And succeed 1 time and it was today lol. I handle her everyday (except after feeding) and I hope that she will become calm as all the adult I've seen in my ex job (reptile farm).

    Enjoy!

Very nice, Ben! Mine is hissy all the time, but he never strikes. He just "talks".

How is school? It's great to see you around again.

Nice looking snake! Makes me miss my Albino Burmese, she was such a sweet girl. I had to put her down when she was 9 ft, but she was very tame and would even run errans with me on warm days. My girl used to liberate herself from her tank and I’d wake-up to find her in bed with me, although it made for ackward mornings when I had female guests over. :P

BWAHahah!!! Yeah, I'd prolly jump a little too if I woke up to an unexpected scaly body in the bed next to me...

    Thank you all!

Lauralf, mine is still hissing, but not everytime, it depends of how I approach her. I hope that she will calm down fast lol. But still, burmese are known for hissing for absolutely no reason.

As for school, well it's not so bad, I am actually doing some summer school to get my last class (Physics, wavelenght and light) and I will be in University in two month.

I have a new camera, so I might make a little video about her.

Sounds pretty exciting! My Burmese is in the "hissing for no reason" group. He doesn't his when I approach him in his cage unless he has recently eaten or is close to shedding. But he has been out in the house, in a room completely alone, just hissing to himself. I always that was a strange behavior for a snake. Sometimes he'll get a big throat bubble and then let out a little hiss. When he really means business, it's a whole body affair!~

Well mine is hissing for the good reason, when I'm going to get her, open her cage, when she is in shedding time.

I have a question, at what size, your burmese stop being nervous to every mouvement and is ''emotionless'' to being pick up, like having zero problem/reaction of being handle. (Acting like a very slow-mo snake)?

I don't know if you understand, but all the burmese I've seen at 6 feet long we're extremely slow and calm. Compare to mine that is being quite active when being handle. I was wondering if your(s) we're like that at 7 month old.

    thanks
