I have one left (the second tegu). Gender unknown, 8 wks old. I don't know if I'd be willing to drop the price at this point. He/she has a pretty good temperament for a baby. He never bites or threatens with an open mouth. He is handled daily, bathed daily, checked for any health issues daily, fed daily, has been out basking in the natural sunlight. We had them out today free roaming in the living room and he doesn't try to run off. He'll climb on you and check you out. He may flinch a bit if he's surprised, but pretty typical behavior for a little guy. He doesn't like to be held closely in a closed hand...gets scared and fidgety. His mom is a very tame/laid back Varnyard B/W with a nice orange belly and his dad is a chunky red of unknown background.

well best of luck to you on ur search, you can check your local craigslist? (i got my 1yr old red for $50 on there)
some teenage girl got it last year and was in over her head, but the tegu was in great health. (just under fed so was a little on the small size, but he had all toes and 98% of his tail)

Wow, that is sad. I'm glad he went to someone who's responsible and knowledgeable. I just went on craigslist and no luck, but there sure was allot of free cats and dogs though =P I really want to get my guy from someone that knows its history and is knowledgeable. And right now I just have a set up for a younger tegu. Thanks Pikey I wont give up yet!
